The brand quickly garnered a reputation for its intricately crafted timepieces, blending traditional Swiss craftsmanship with innovative watchmaking techniques. Vulcain’s most significant breakthrough came in 1947 with the introduction of the Cricket alarm watch, the first alarm wristwatch with a robust and audible sound.

We are delighted to offer this beautiful vintage Vulcain watch for sale in such wonderful condition. The Roman dial is elegant in design and offers painted numerals, elongated leaf hands in blued steel and a recessed sub-second dial at 6 o’clock. The dial has taken on some patina and deepened to a sepia hue. The jumbo polished stainless steel case is in really nice condition with only minor signs of previous wear. The case back is engraved with 1324522. The watch is really quite substantial at 38mm, which is unheard of for a watch from the 1950s! As per our photographers, the watch looks beautiful on the wrist and would make a very nice addition to any collection.
