The Sphinx II Necklace is a hand sculpted lapis lazuli gemstone embodied with responsibly sourced 22k gold vermeil on 925 sterling silver. The intaglio on the gemstone is an illustration of an ancient Egyptian mythological creature, the Sphinx, with the head of a human, the body of a lion, and the wings of a falcon. To compliment the artisanship on the stone, the intaglios have been embellished with a gold leaf.

In Egyptian culture the Sphinx has been adorned and symbolised with royalty, sacred status and their solar deity, Sun God, Horemakhet or Horus of the Horizon.
