A Very Handsome and Iconic TAG Heuer Monaco Reference CW2113 in Superb Condition, Sold with its Original Box and Paperwork from 2002 and Just Back from a Tag Heuer Accredited Service When a New Tag Heuer Strap Was Also Supplied and Fitted
The TAG Heuer Monaco, introduced in 1969, revolutionized the watchmaking world with its bold square case and pioneering automatic chronograph movement. Named after the Monaco Grand Prix, this iconic timepiece was a collaboration between Heuer (now TAG Heuer) and Breitling, Hamilton-Bren, and Dubois Dpraz. The Calibre 11 movement inside was one of the first automatic chronographs ever made.
The Monaco gained global fame when Steve McQueen sported it in the 1971 film “Le Mans,” cementing its status as a symbol of racing heritage and style. Over the decades, TAG Heuer has released numerous variations while retaining its distinctive aesthetic features: square case, blue dial, and unique positioning of the crown on the left side.
Today, the Monaco remains a celebrated icon in horology, representing innovation and timeless design that continues to captivate watch enthusiasts around the world.
