This small Lunar Pearl pendant necklace in classic 9ct yellow gold features Sheilas textured cup-mark design, delicately hanging from a gold curb chain. The slightly concave design is hand-set with a pearl in our Orkney workshop. The design measures approximately 13mm in diameter, with a 15mm drop including the hanging loop.

Lunar Pearl is inspired by the ancient art of our ancestors. Thousands of years ago at the Ness of Brodgar in Orkney, people carved hollows or cup-marks of various sizes in rough rock, perhaps to signify an event or to follow the passage of time as the moon waxed and waned. Sheilas designs are textured like the surface of rock, enamelled in a variety of colourways, and hand-set with an enchanting pearl.
