J.W. Benson, founded in 1847 by James William Benson, was a distinguished British watch and clock manufacturer. What’s on Offer
Dating to the 1940s, this J.W. Benson is a beautiful example. Encased in solid 9 Karat gold, the case is in amazing condition with only very light signs of wear. On the inside of the case, you can find engravings, Dennison and the usual gold hallmarks. Dennison was a renowned case maker who manufactured quality watch cases for multiple brands such as Rolex, Omega and IWC.
Underneath the shatterproof plexiglass sits a gorgeous white enamel dial printed with bold black numerals and a counter-sunk sub-dial at six o’clock. We are guessing that the original radium lume became historically deteriorated and eventually fell out at some point in time. This is a completely normal process and has not taken anything away from the beauty of the dial.
The watch is running and functioning as it should but It has not been serviced before this listing and we are selling it as seen for a client of ours, if you do wish for it to be serviced before purchasing wed be happy to do that for you for an additional cost. These circumstances are reflected in the price.
