Oris watches have a rich history spanning over a century, making them one of the world’s most respected and sought-after timepiece brands. Founded in 1904 by Paul Cattin and Georges Christian in Hlstein, Switzerland, Oris began as a small watch factory with a vision to create high-quality timepieces at affordable prices. In the early years, Oris focused on producing pocket watches. However, as wristwatches gained popularity during World War I, the company quickly adapted to meet the changing demands of its customers. By 1925, Oris had established itself as a leading manufacturer of wristwatches and continued to innovate with new designs and technologies. Throughout its history, Oris has remained committed to precision and reliability.
Whats on Offer
Here is a really cool vintage Oris Star Twen Automatic dating approximately to the seventies.
The first interesting thing is the flat white dial which features a quad-design with chrome and black markers. You also see the black-and-white baton hands followed by a sweeping seconds hand. All of which are in exceptional condition.
The stainless steel case and bracelet have seen some wear over the years displaying obvious scratches and blemishes all around, but the watch still appears in good condition with no major imperfections and could just do with a light polish to bring it back to life. The simple design and unique style case give it a timeless vintage feel and at 34mm it is a lovely snug size.
The internal aspects include the Oris 645 Calibre based on the ETA 2836-2 with 21 Jewels and a power reserve of 45 hours.
